Rinberger and I were having this discussion a couple of weeks ago about teachers and sports stars. What if teachers made the millions and sports stars made between $36k and $56k, what would be different?
Would our culture change because the role models were different? Would we have little kids running around with posters of rad teachers in their boedroom?
Would teachers have an entourage complete with a publicist, a marketing strategy, and someone to make copies for them? Would a different kind of person want to be a teacher? Would they have their own fan club and how would this affect their professional performance?
Would sports stars play the game as hard without all the money to fall back on? Would the major sports be as popular as the major education facilities?
Interesting questions popped up and I thought I get some thoughts from some readers.
