Much is done to save the next generation of hardships. As Dallas and I were challenged to think a couple of years into the future, I wondered about setting up some kind of annuity or trust fund for churches that we plant.
What keeps pulling on me is that we didn't have any comforts at all in starting this church. It was a lot of guts, tears, prayer, elbow grease, and conversations with people we barely know that inched along our obedience to God's call in starting Vox Church.
It follows the birthing process. Many times the forces and pressures that come upon something about to be born are vital to the rest of their existence. It makes me want the same for every church we will plant, although it will sometimes be hard to watch, just like it's hard to go through right now.
